RESOURCEFUL ROTATOR HELPS FIRM RECYCLE

A UK firm at the forefront of truck and forklift attachments in the UK has come to the rescue of one its clients in need of a solution to a difficult handling dilemma.

 Mid-Wales-based Contact Attachments has supplied a multi-purpose drum rotator to leading waste collection and recycling provider, Associated Reclaimed Oils, to enable the firm to transport and tip blocks of used oil filters into metal skips for recycling.

 Chris Edwards, Operations Manager at Associated Reclaimed Oils, commented: “The drum rotator supplied by Contact Attachments has eliminated the arduous manual handling aspect of the task which was previously required.  We are now able to carry out the whole process in a safe and effective manner and in a way which significantly reduces the risk of potential injury to our personnel.”

 The specialist product attaches directly to the forks of a forklift truck and has a unique girdle element which clamps round oil drums and wheelie bins up to 240 litres, allowing them to be rotated via a sophisticated gear box connected to a crank handle or loop chain.
