East London based charity creates further accolade with their awareness of Health & Safety

When First Fruit Warehouse of East London wanted a solution to handling their office furniture and scrap metal waste, they picked up the phone to Contact Attachments for an immediate solution. 

First Fruit Warehouse was set up in partnership with Green-Works to store, recycle and re-sell office furniture.  Carrying out part of the work for East London based charity First Fruit, they employ people with a history of unemployment and/or homelessness. This highly commendable company allows people who are disadvantaged to gain real work experience in order to open up their job opportunities in the wider job market as well as recycling office furniture from large corporate donors in order to sell onto charities, schools, churches, and the local community at affordable prices.

”The job we carry out naturally generates a certain amount of wood & metal waste” commented Mr. Christopher Butt, Warehouse Operations Manager for First Fruit Warehouse. “We use to have to manually handle this waste until we purchased a Contact tipping skip. Now the waste can be collected easily and safety tipped at height into our large container without risk of injury to any of our staff. We are more than happy with Contact’s skips and service and will be purchasing more in the near future”
